Raining day in Jakarta ...

It was a wonderfull night to sleep last night as it rains heavily non-stop. But situation got worsen as the rain didn't stop till morning. As usual, we will be waiting for our van to send us to work, this week, my name wasn't on the Van list so I will have to take Taxi to office with some other colleagues.

It was near Chinese New Year so its time for most of us to travel back to Malaysia. Today alone there will more then 10 colleagues from my project travelling back to Malaysia. Due to the rain, everyone was worried that flight might be cancel and also how are they going to the airport.

During the long que at the Taxi stand, we (Sook Wai, Yee Wan and I) gave up and headed to Coffeebean for a tea break @ breakfast. LoLz. Those whom took the Van takes 1 hour to reach office. They were actually the second trip. Our PM tried to arrange the Van for a 3rd trip because whenever it rains in Jakarta, taxi driver will call their day off because it will be terriblily Jam and flood here and there. Our driver refuse to go for 3rd trip because its very jam he says, but after discussing with PM, he agree to go for a 3rd trip. Driver didnt manage to get out of our office area as it is flooded, so the 3rd trip end up cancelled. Hehe .. and we are HOORAY-ing back at the appartment.

Situation grow worse as the rain didnt stop until noon. My colleagues taking KLM flight around 7PM left office at 12 Noon just because they worried that they can't catch the flight. Yet still no luck with them. They were caught in the massive jam. My dai lou (Weng Keong) and his wife left from Appartment to airport at 2PM to catch the same flight but they were caught at the jam too. Heard from some of them the road to Airport was flooded with water as high as 1 meter. Gosh..

I made a call to them at around 7PM ++ , they haven't reach the airport yet. I guess they have already miss the flight. What a day. Some of them wanted to turn back to the appartment and tried their luck again tomorrow. Its already 11.30pm now, although the rain have stop for like 8 hours or 10 hours ago but seems everywhere is still having a massive jam, and i yet to get any news about my colleagues .. i think some of them still stuck .. what a day..
